Dreaming
of
Doing
English
Tests
I
recently
had
a
dream
about
doing
English
tests,
which
may
sound
strange
to
some,
but
not
to
me.
As
a
language
learner,
I
often
have
dreams
related
to
language,
whether
it's
speaking,
writing,
reading,
or
listening.
In
this
dream,
I
found
myself
sitting
in
a
quiet
exam
room,
facing
a
big
pile
of
papers
and
a
timer
ticking
on
the
desk.
I
knew
I
had
to
finish
the
test
within
a
certain
time
limit,
but
my
mind
went
blank
as
soon
as
I
read
the
first
question.
The
words
on
the
page
seemed
unfamiliar,
and
I
couldn't
make
sense
of
the
grammar
and
vocabulary.
I
panicked.
I
flipped
through
the
pages
and
felt
more
and
more
frustrated
and

I
thought
I
had
studied
enough,
but
now
I
realized
how
much
I
still
needed
to
work
on.
I
didn't
know
how
to
answer
the
questions,
and
I
feared
I
would
fail
the
test.
Then,
I
woke
up
from
the
dream,
feeling
relieved
that
it
was
only
a
nightmare.
However,
it
also
made
me
reflect
on
my
English
learning
journey.
I
realized
that
language
acquisition
is
not
always
linear
or
predictable,
and
that
gaps
and
challenges
are
normal
and
necessary
for
growth.
Moreover,
I
learned
that
testing
anxiety
is
a
common
issue
for
learners,
regardless
of
their
proficiency
level.
It's
natural
to
feel
nervous
or
overwhelmed
when
facing
a
new
or
challenging
task,
but
it's
also
important
to
remember
that
tests
are
not
the
only
measurement
of
one's
language
ability
or
potential.
In
conclusion,
my
dream
of
doing
English
tests
reminded
me
of
the
complexity
and
beauty
of
language
learning,
and
of
the
importance
of
perseverance,
self-awareness,
and
self-compassion.
Whether
we
are
sleeping
or
awake,
we
can
always
find
opportunities
to
improve
our
language
skills
and
broaden
our
cultural
horizons.
